Studio update & Holland, here we come!

Hardworking as we are, Dana and Joey already finished their part of the recordings. Drum and bass tracks are done! Connie turns out to really being a lucky pull, even more than we expected anyway - so brace yourself for an album that will blow you right away! At least we are working on it with a whole lot of motivation and power.

Of course we have to get out on the road too, 'cause that's the reason to make music, ain't it? That means, there will also be some shows in april. We'll be back on the road to the Netherlands, ready to rock Natacha's homeland.

The preproduction for our new album is soon to be finished, studio is booked at Connie Andreszka's (Mystic Prophecy, Wicca, ex Crystal Ball, Evidence One etc...) - so far so good. So there's a little spare time left to rock some stages:

2013!

Totally unexpected, but the world didn't end, and we suppose that all of you have passed some peaceful X-Mas holidays - so some words should be said concerning the new year.

For us, there is one big goal: To record and to release the new album! We're yet very busy working on it, and the studio is booked by the end of march. We're looking forward to working with Connie Andreszka (Mystic Prophecy et al.) and of course we will keep you up to date.

Nevertheless, you don't have to go without Shezoo live during the next couple of months. The following show are fixed, more to come:

I want to thank all of you for all the kind mails / SMS / facebook posts. They really touched me and did me really good!
I will go by the advices of my doctor and of course hope to soon recover completely and get my power back. And that we can rock the house together at our next show.

Sickness is as sickness does...

Unfortunately we have to cancel our show tomorrow at the Met Bar Lenzburg, our singer Natacha caught a virus that affects her tonsils and vocal cords. Therefor it would be a big mistake to do the gig in this situation, this could cause permanent injuries on her throat. Above all, it's health first, especially if it's for Natacha's voice!

But 2sides will be playing!!! And some of us will be there too! So, be there anyway!
We will inform you about a possible replacement date, if ever. Otherwise: we play at the Royal Baden on nov 23rd, 2012.

Happy Birthday, Open Zoo!

Proud like mommies and daddy, we are celebrating the first birthday of our baby! A lots of things were going on during this last year, the CD got around, just like us. Well, no, we're still not resting on our laurels - while preparing for our tour, we're also working on new songs for the next album. Some of those songs you could yet check out at our live shows.

Although Switzerland has to go without any Shezoo concert during the next couple of weeks - at ours, round and round it goes!

In Action...

That's how to entitle the days at the moment at Shezoo's - we just recovered from the great concert with Blaze Bayley, and yet on the way to the nex one! Great indeed, round and round it goes!

Last thursday we opened up the show for the former Iron Maiden frontman Blaze at the Rock City Uster - and i think this went quite well, as we now proudly can name Blaze as one of our fans! We'd like to thank the Rock City Crew to have the chance to be there once again, and the whole Blaze Band, with whom we had a wonderful evening. And of cours thanks to the people that showed up at Uster on a thursday night - you rocked!!!

Well, as yet mentionned, the show goes on on saturday! Once again we're gonna be in cahoots with our friends of Sinside, this time joined by Firemoon. That thing is gonna be happen at the Rivers Pub in Brugg, starting at 8:00 pm.

Back to the roots / Back for more!

Back to the place one can rightfully call the place where everything started - for the 5th time yet we rocked the Neugasshof in Zurich. Small but mighty it was, and a great party! It was a pleasure to see some faces from the past, and of course we also were happy to meet some new people. A big Thank you to Jota and Rölu. We'll be back for more!

Concerning shows, there was some heavy thing going on for the future. Just take a look at our new dates: Concerts
To sum it up a bit: some time soon we're gonna warm up for Blaze Bayley (Ex-Iron Maiden) and we're gonna shake the schwyzian mountains.

...something about planning your weekend...

To prevent you from getting bored next weekend, we're gonna take a short break from our work on the new songs for one gig. We're gonna rock the Neugasshof in Zurich next saturday, march 10th 2012 - an event that you should not miss! Most of all because you all gonna get in for free!
The Neugasshof is located at the Neugasse 35, in the middle of Zurich. We're gonna start at about 9:pm. Little Tipp: be there in time, before the bar is full.

Despite taking a little break in playing live during february, it's not getting too quiet at Shezoo's! There are yet a couple of new songs done, on which we keep on working, some new concert dates are online here , and also the media keeps getting us on:

Start: Check...

That's it, the start into the new year is done! We finished our january gig marathon with two great evenings: jan 13th 2012 at the Kultik Sissach, where we once more had great fun with the guys in Sinside, and we're looking forward to the follow-up. And last friday jan 20th 2012, we had the honour to play in the extraordinairy ambiente of the Bruch Brothers in Lucerne.

Now it's time for a little, well-deserved break - that we won't use for laziness, but for working on a couple of new songs - standstill is a no-go! Of course, we're gonna keep you up to date concerning new shows and other worth knowing events.

Busy january...

...just right back from Arbon, where we opened the Ballroom together with Charing Cross and Mother Jane, the show goes on on the next two weekends - this friday, jan 13th, 2012, we're again joining forces with Sinside and burn the Kultik Sissach to the ground, and next friday, jan 20th, 2012, we're gonna rock the Bruch Brothers at Lucerne, free entry by the way.

Concerning the Ballroom - this is a helluva club that's been opened! You shouldn't miss to step by - best when we're back there for the next time ;)
But first, off to Sissach!

Happy 2012!

We hope you all passed through the christmas holidays as good as we did - the rockin' way!
After two great gigs in Austria, we're now well at home and getting ready for turn of the year.

First, concerning the two shows:
Hallein was - after starting a bit chaotic - a damn good evening! Not least due to the kind help and support of Winding Path - guys and girl, you rock!!!
Knittelfeld was a helluva party! Even Joey's grandparents found their way to the X-Mas-Rock Party. THX to Adrian Ulbing for organising and to Joey's mum for being our hotel ;)

And now it's time to thank everyone who made 2011 a real Shezoo-year! Every single one who worked with us on our album, everyone who made all those cool shows possible, and of course everyone who attended them and those who supported us in any other way!!!
Now we hope that also 2012 will go on that way - the fast way...
We wish everyone a good start into the new year and we hope to see you all soon someday somewhere on the road!

This winter rocks...

At least it did last Saturday at the Turnhalle Au in Brugg. After the probably shortest soundcheck ever (thanks to Moreno, well done!), we were opening this year's Winter Rock Festival. 30 minutes of full power! We're glad that so many of you yet made it to Brugg early enough!
All in all, at the festival, we felt like being in very good hands! Damir, Romana and Gonoreas once again did a great job by organising a cool event, and to find a great team - to mention especially the kitchen ;)

This winter rocks also on the jounalistic hand: The january-edition of the Rock Hard Magazin contains a review on Open Zoo... Buy it!

Rock'n'Roll Weekend!

That title fits our last weekend! On Friday we rocked the Banlieue Grienen in Winterthur together with IllNow - a freaky little bar at the end of the world, full of great, crazy people. We really enjoyed being there!
On Saturday, we were about to celebrate Halloween. Creepy action at the Mr.Pickwick Pub at Baden. Due to the great atmosphere, we once more had a great time!

Rock 'n' Roll Party

Last friday at the Death End in Embrach - Shezoo and Sinside. The coincidence of those facts has proved a recipe for one of the best concerts we've ever done. Main part to that played: Sinside - cool guys, thx for inviting us! Carlo & the Death End team - great club, thank you for your hospitality! And most of all: You, that have been part of the evening! Great spirit, a big thank you for that!!
That one screams out loud: repeat, repeat!
And not to forget: Happy Birthday Carlo, cheers to the next 50 ones...

Surley we will think back upon the firt part of our Kamikaze Rock'n'Roll Tour for some time! Looking at the pictures and getting lost in memories... The Zoo is Open!

It's done! Open Zoo has been baptized and is now officially available!
After almost one year of hard work, we finally could present and baptize it at the Rock City in Uster!
We'd like now to take the opportunity to thank again everyone who helped us to make the whole production of the album possible:

Regarding yesterday's evening:
Like always, partying at the Rock City war fun! Snook and Androbb did a great job opening for us - thanks guys, you rock!!! So for us, it was just easy - get on stage and have fun! And that was no big deal: Thanks also to the fantastic audience for your power! Not everybody gets us back on stage after having played really all of our songs! Ok, you now got "I want to..." twice...
Dave, the godfather of our CD, also did his job well, our congrats to the one (Nadine) who caught the beer-showered piece.
All the others who came away empty-handed, or the ones who did not have the possibility to collar Open Zoo: The Album is now officially for sale in our shop .

Our next stop are now the Netherlands! Starting Wednesday evening the first part of Kamikaze Rock'n'Roll Tour! For everyone who's not having the possibility to visit us there, here's the chance to follow us virtually: "like" us on facebook!

Everything new in Shezoo's World!

New, new, everything new! Lineup – new, album – new, homepage – new, pictures – new…
The totally new Shezoo! Now we are ready to really get it going! The 3rd of september is the day our baby will be born an baptized. To the name „Open Zoo“. Matching to the new CD, we also re-edited our homepage, put online some new pics and infos about us. Have fun with clicking through the new pages!

We yet are heavily looking forward to celebrate the release of „Open Zoo“, together with Androbb and Snook! And with you of course! As many of you as possible, at best with all of you ! So, on 3rd of september, you all come to the Rock City Uster !

A not very average concert night...

Last Saturday worked out a lot different as planned and a lot folks wouldn’t have thought of a successful end of the night. But for us it was just that, also because of the crowd, them who found the hidden ‘Koningshalle’ and came out of all corners of Switzerland.
There was more music, killer dogs who wear shezoo, pizza and a lot of cool people, like for example our mixer Roman, many thanks to you!!!

Pirate feast and gallows songs

The Pirates St.Margrethen is a playground for youngsters and adults. Pirate feast, skeletons, bars and a stage make this gig to a one opportunity happening. During the song ‘the Executioner’ Natacha took it literally and put a gallows robe around her neck while she was singing the song (standing on the drum kit), during her solo Joey spitted blood on top of that! What such a casino can make of us. At least a unique Concert at a unique location.

Radio Interview Germany

Yesterday night we were at H'art on Air und Klaus live in the studio at Channel Ratte in Germany and we had a lot of fun! Klaus thanks a lot for being so patient with us during but also after the show. For everybody who missed the broadcast, it will be repeated on Saturday 21 of may at 6 o’clock in the evening. It is worth it if not only to hear our new songs!

Yeah, once again it was a serious musicfest , Shakra main act and Shezoo support act. Many thanks go out to the music fans and to the Sounddock 14 for the great stage. Of course also many thanks to Shakra and we wish them a lot of fun on their further Swiss tour.

Support of Bonafide in Downstairs

Hjiiha, what a brilliant Night!
Not only with regard to the Music this night was big joy, also the after party was one big celebration . The Swedish Musicians of Bonafide, they are on stage as well as of stage real Rock stars and we as well as the crowd at Downstairs had a lot of fun.

At the same time we want to welcome Micha to Shezoo. The start on Friday definitive worked. Buds up for all the Poser concerts to come, you playing the lead guitar.

Many thanks to the Downie-Team for a superb night and the organisation included a Chauffer who took us to our Hotel and back. These are the extra’s that make it special for us. We hope to see each other soon!

Next concert is together with Shakra in the Sounddock Dietikon.
